Life inevitably brings about changes and circumstances that can cause you to feel nervous, angry, sad, or overwhelmed. Painful emotions tell us that something isn’t right; something’s out of balance. The therapeutic relationship provides a safe space for you to begin the process of healing. By expressing your pain in an accepting atmosphere, and engaging in self-exploration, you are likely to uncover past wounds that are still impacting your life today. Counseling aims to help you discover new ways of handling life’s challenges, expressing your feelings in a healthy way, improving relationships, and increasing your overall quality of life.
Holly Morseman, M.A., LPC, Director: Compassionate counselor and consultant who believes that healthy living requires your mind, body, spirit, and emotions to be in harmony with each other. I believe that people are greater than the sum of their parts and encourage therapeutic work in all areas of life. I know that you are the expert of your own life and will treat you as such. My counseling style is person-centered, authentic, eclectic, and collaborative. I draw from the latest mental health research to inform the techniques I use in my practice. I am dedicated to counseling from a non-judgmental, multicultural perspective that honors each person’s uniqueness.
I specialize in working with adult women on a range of issues such as workplace stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, PTSD, low self-esteem, etc. Having experienced trauma myself, I find working with trauma survivors particularly rewarding. I also really enjoy working with students, other mental health/medical professionals, small business owners or those wanting to start small businesses, and young adults.
My education includes a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University with completion of the Organizational Consulting Track, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Washington State University. I am also a certified SMART® Recovery Group Facilitator.
